I'm making this post solely for those that are stuck with the E1F6 Error code for a Maytag Washing machine.
Conclusion: Check to make sure the safety switch at the front left and the rear right are pressed
Initially, I got the low flow error because my washing machine pump bit the dust. so i opened the front cover and replaced the pump but then the E1F6 or F6E1 or E1 F6 error came up. I thought it was the main control board (CCU) so I replaced it with a good one and it still gave the same error. Then i replaced the motor with the motor control board (MCU), and it still gave the same error.
Finally, i gave up and put the front cover back on and wouldn't you know it, it started working again. So my conclusion is that the safety switch connects the motor control board to ground and when a signal is sent from the CCU, it grounds out the signal and doesn't return the proper value to the CCU. When the safety switch is pressed, it cuts off the MCU board from the ground and returns the signal to the CCU properly.
The error code is VERY misleading, because google says "The f6-E1 error code means that the communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly".
Well, I certainly didn't think that it would be the safety switch because it ran through the wash and rinse cycle and if I selected the option "rinse, drain & spin" and deactivated the rinse, it spun the clothes and at the end of the cycle it gave that same error again.
Either way, it's fixed again and I hope this post helps someone.
