Making a new exhaust manifold stud for my motorcyle
Difficulty Level (Easy, Medium, Hard, Insane):
Easy
Process:
I was getting my motorcycle (1984 Honda Magna V30) ready to sell and noticed that one of the exhaust manifold studs had fallen out. This probably happened with the previous owner as I didn't really have a chance to ride it a lot over the last two years and just never noticed it.
It was pretty simple, turn a piece of O1 tool steel down to 0.320", then thread it with an M6x1.0 die, then heat, quench and temper it.
