Melanie had wanted me to make her bulletin boards larger and nicer looking. Here's the sizes I ended up with:
One that is 4' by 4'
Three that are 2' by 4
Two that are 2' by 2'
Difficulty Level (Easy, Medium, Hard, Insane):
Easy
Process:
We had three packs of extra foam mats lying around so we took some of the worn out ones out of the playroom and replaced them with the new ones. Then I glued the old ones on some 1/8" hard board and covered them in fabric.
Pictures:
I took the band saw and cut off the tabs along the outside perimeter but left them where I wanted to join them to other mats |
After cutting and gluing the foam mats to the 1/8" hard board I laid them out on some left-over fabric we had at the house |
Using my new air stapler from Harbour Freight (thanks again Shawn for picking it up for me) I fastened the fabric to the hard board |
Here's a 4' by 4' bulletin board |
Considering some of the layout options. We didn't end up going with any of them |
Mounted on the wall with simple drywall screws |
Looking fabulous. I'm sure it'll be very practical for Melanie's school |
